Goodwill McMinnville Relocating

New development is underway in northern McMinnville. According to a new two-pane billboard at the property, three buildings are slated for construction off Highway 99W and Doran Drive, near the two car dealerships and the steel mill at the northern edge of town.

Representatives from Goodwill Industries of the Columbia Willamette confirmed the move but did not provide details regarding the closure of the current location, at 1371 NE Highway 99W, or the opening date for the new site.

This relocation marks the third in a recent pattern of national businesses closing or moving on McMinnville’s north side. Including Rite Aid, which is set to close in the coming days, GameStop, which abruptly closed in late January, and JoAnn Fabrics, which closed earlier this year. In contrast, national businesses like Xfinity and Wingstop, along with local favorite The Merri Artist, have opened or relocated to the same general area.

According to the property developer’s online information, the construction project looks to be happening in Q2 2026. (Sometime between April & June of next year, to the layman.) So, the move is not imminent. Local Goodwill employees in McMinnville have declined to comment. However, representatives from Goodwill’s main office have confirmed the eventual move and said it’s due to their lease ending at the current McMinnville Goodwill space.
