Rite Aid has declared bankruptcy for the second time in a handful of years and is closing stores and selling its assets to pay off debts.

However, while Rite Aid has announced another 17 stores will close in Oregon in the coming months, it also announced that 64 Pacific Northwest Rite Aids stores have sold to CVS.

But, it looks like McMinnville isn’t one of the lucky ones that got sold. And according to people at Rite Aid, notices posted, and the manager, Rite Aid McMinnville will close on June 16th, 2025. Forever.

So, I was wrong initially; Rite Aid isn’t being converted to a CVS in Mac. Which teaches me this lesson: Unconfirmed reports are nothing more than gossip with supporting evidence. Also, I guess it’s time to transfer my prescriptions.
