You may have saw something on Facebook about a notable local farm making a major change. Well, after 50+ years of serving customers via their farm stand on Highway 18, Bernards Farms has announced they will be closing up the operation on March 9th, 2025. (Staff confirmed this on the phone.)

It was also noted in their Facebook post that certain items were available for purchase, including “tables, displays, and equipment”. So, if you’re looking for start a farm store, or just wanting to support a small business, be sure to get to Bernards Farm by March 9th.

No word on whether this closure was due to financial reasons, if the farm is being transferred to a different ag operation, or if it is simply the right time for a family to move on. Any way you look at it, it’s a loss of a familiar landmark that many people in McMinnville, Sheridan, and the larger community will miss.
