Let’s face it, if you live in Yamhill County, you live in the land of wine and weed. Since legalization, there has been no shortage of locations to legally purchase the devil’s lettuce. And two more retail locations, in Lafayette and Newberg, have opened or are about to open.

Located in Lafayette at the corner of 3rd Street & Bridge Street, right off 99W, The Bakery opened their doors to the public last month. This independant location, which according to staff is reportedly owned by a certain county commissioner, is tucked away in a non-descript white building next to Lafayette’s Mexican meat market, Carniceria Abastos.

The second of two new weed stores, scheduled to open soon, is Green Planet in Newberg. Green Planet is a Beaverton-based chain of dispensaries that operates several stores in the Greater Portland area. Located at 301 W 1st St, right at the point when 99W splits to one-ways in downtown Newberg, Green Planet’s eighth location is their first in Yamhill County.
